Problem Syncing Calendars

EDIT: I resolved the issue ... see my second post.

Original post:

Just got the S7, and it's my first Samsung device. Unfortunately, I'm having problems getting my calendars to sync properly. I'm coming from an HTC M8 Google Play Edition.

I've got 3 different exchange accounts, and each account has 2 calendars (a regular appointment calendar, and a holiday calendar for each account ... so 6 calendars total). With the M8, I could log into the 3 different exchange accounts, and then choose which of the calendars to sync on my phone. Obviously, I wouldn't sync the holiday calendar for each account since I don't need 3 different calendar entries on my phone telling me it's MLK day. So, out of the 6 calendars, I would only sync 4 (i.e., the 3 appointment calendars, and one of the holiday calendars). I could then choose what color to make entries from each account (so I had 4 different colors).

Unfortunately, on the S7, I don't seem to have a choice as to which calendars to sync. After logging into each of the 3 exchange accounts, the holiday calendars did not appear as options to sync. However, they synced anyway. Accordingly, I'm getting 3 different entries for holidays, in 3 different colors (the colors that I chose for the appointment calendars of each account).

Sorry for the long post. Any thoughts on how to correct this? Thanks!

Calendar, More, Manage Calendars... Do your calendars appear in that list? If they do, is the button switched to On? If they don't, go to Settings, Accounts, and turn on sync for what you need.

Thanks for the response. I had already done those things before posting ... didn't work. The calendars do not appear in Manage Calendars, but everything was supposedly syncing properly in Accounts.

However, I did discover the answer (and it sucks that I had to do this):

I had to side load Exchange Services from Google (Exchange Services 5.0.106634657 APK Download by Google Inc. - APKMirror). Once installed, I had to grant it permission to access calendars. I could then add my exchange accounts in the same way I had them on my M8. Not sure if there's an easier way, but at least it works now.
