Problem with a book case when charging phone

Hello,

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 and recently i purchased a book cover case for it. It has no problem and it works perfectly except when i charge my phone. The book cover has a half display screen where i can see my notifications etc. Every time i charge my phone the mini display doesn't appear anymore, it only shows the screen like it's without a cover. A fix for it is a restart but i consider this an Android bug or a phone bug. Has anyone encounter this problem before ?
