Problem with AdFree

I rooted my Moto Droid A855 yesterday and, amongst other things, downloaded AdFree. It worked great yesterday, but today it isn't blocking ads. The app shows a popup stating there are new hostnames that I need to download. I click on the Download & Install Hosts button and I get the following error: "Failed to remount system partition read-only".

I've attempted reinstalling the app. I've also attempted manually replacing the hosts file from someonewhocares.org/hosts/. Neither have fixed the issue. I have Super Manager and the system folder is set to read/write. I'm not sure how to proceed now. Anyone have any ideas?

Have other programs/files been able to write to that directory?

I've been able to copy and paste files and folders into and out of the directory and there are plenty of system apps that use this directory every day I use the phone.

Soooo... this doesn't seem to be an issue anymore. I decided to update it today, to see if it would work, and it updated today without an issue. Very odd.
