Problem with contacts...

Hello

New to the Optimus, have had it for almost a month now..
Before I started a google account to be able to download from marketplace, I only had phone contacts. Now all of my contacts are "google" contacts, even when I make a new one. I don't want my contacts to be google contacts, I just want phone-only contacts. I do not use my google accounts for anything beside the marketplace and don't want my data in there.
Do you have any suggestions how i can have phone-only contacts? I see that people with HTC phones have the option to add the contact as a phone only or a google contact, but I do not have that option.
Any help?

People > menu > import/export ... your phone doesn't have that option? Give you an option to save your contacts to Phone or Google.

No... the Optimus S doesn't seem to have that option. I only have under Import/Export - Save to SD Card to Import from SD Card

In your phone settings, set your syncing options to not sync your contacts. Anything you put in your phone then will NOT be synced to your google account.

Yes but it still says "Add google contact" when I add a new contact
