Problem with Epic microphone

I've noticed that the microphone frequently goes out on my Epic. When this happens, voice search and vlingo don't work, and the camcorder doesn't record sound. A reboot always seems to fix this for a while, but it eventually stops working again.

I know this has happened while I have been running Baked Snack and on Syndicate Rom. Can't remember if this happens when running stock.

Has anyone else seen this? Any ideas on a fix or is this just my hardware?

is your bluetooth connected? mic doesn't work when bluetooth is connected to car kit or other. also this may happen when head phones are plugged in. sucks

Thanks drewjohn, this helped a lot. I just tested this and I'm fine when my bluetooth is paired or even connected. After I use bluetooth to make a call, that's when the microphone goes off and stays off, even when I disconnect bluetooth.

Vlingo, voice search, camcorder, etc. don't work. For some reason, opening up voice dialer and using that seems to then "restore" the microphone. If I can continue to repeat this, I think it'll be a work-around, but a definite pain. I may head to the froyo beta boards to see if this is fixed in froyo.
