I have had an odd problem just pop up tonight with the gallery on my DX. When I try to launch the gallery app, it will launch and then immediately take me back to my home screen. I can access pics taken with my camera by going through the camera app, but I can't launch the gallery app to see other photo folders (ie. screenshots). I have restarted my phone, but I would like to avoid doing a reset. Any ideas?

Been there, and not sure what causes it. But this will fix it:
Hit your menu key, then Settings --> Applications -->Manage Applications -- > All. Find the following and clear BOTH the Cache & Data (if you do only one it won't work.. you must clear both) :
Gallery
Media Storage
Media Container Service

Forgot to mention -- after this I would reboot your phone. Then go into Gallery again and wait a few seconds while it rebuilds the thumbnails, etc. Your Gallery should be back to normal after that.

You're welcome! Not sure why that happens... but I've had to deal with that quite a few times already, so I know the drill by heart now. :-D
