I went to uninstall an app from my S and Gear Manager was showing I had no apps installed so I uninstalled Gear Manager as a last resort after trying everything else I could think of.
Upon install of GM it stated to finish install my watch would reset to factory settings. No real biggie except losing my S Health history because I was able to set things back up as before and put music and photos back with no real hassle.
Anyone else ever have something similar? I've uninstalled Gear Manager before when it acted up but it's never done this when putting it back .
Gear S , AT&T, latest firmware, no root. Note4, latest firmware, AT&T, not rooted either.
Thanks for any input you may have for preventing this from happening again.

If you uninstall Gear Manager, it will always reset your Gear S next time you set it up. It is by design. Always this way from day one. It is akin to pair Gear S with a new phone. Samsung design this way for privacy so that what ever private information of previous pairing, e.g. contacts and calendars, won't be mixed up with the new pairing.

Hmm. Then it didn't act right before. As I wrote, I've uninstalled it twice before when I first got the watch and neither time did that.
Thanks for letting me know it was supposed to do that before also and actually acted right this time. Maybe that's why the app showed I had nothing installed all of a sudden?
Thanks again

That is a separate issue but could be related. Samsung's Galaxy App store is really the dumbest ever. I got that all the time but after I got a new phone, it seems ok now.

They showed up on the app store, just not the Gear app under manage or uninstall. Only thing there was my fonts apps, nothing else. Also it kept reverting to none for double tap when I'd reboot the watch.
