Problem with Google Maps and car dock

In case anybody didn't experience this here is some info. When using Google Maps GPS with the car dock there is a known bug where the screen shuts down after several minutes. I had this happen to me several times and contacted Verizon about it. There is a known bug and they are working on it at this time. No fix yet. Just FYI.

Are you pluged into the car charger? My stays on the whole time (it does get got though)

This happens without the car dock as well. I used Google maps without the screen fading out a couple times but lately the screen turns off after several minutes when using Google maps. It's really, really, really annoying and potentially unsafe.

Without a dock the screen will turn off unless you are touching it. I think it may not have been seated fully in the car dock.

The first couple of times I used Google Maps the phone screen stayed on for the duration of the trip. Only in the last few days has the screen been turning off. It should stay on when using the navigation feature of Google Maps. You shouldn't be required to touch it while driving.

I had the same problem this weekend. Won't swear to it, but seemed to happen in the same area (going and coming) and the blue circle that is under the arrow got bigger then it switched off. It almost looked like it lost carrier signal and didn't know what to do. Just my observation.
