Problem with grayed out buttons.

As you can see in the picture, I have the gray x in the corner, a compass, a volume button, and a go button. How can I get rid of this?

I just looked at the screenshot in my gallery and it doesn't seem to be there, but I assume that means its actually on my screen then?

Yeah, still can't see what you're referring to. Can you take an actual photo of the screen with a different device?
