Problem with MI4i, why is my phone blacked out?

Problem with MI4i

My Mi4i's screen is blanked out although the touch is working and when I tried re-booting the screen shows MI/ Android then blanks out again. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Android Central! Can you tell if the phone is still on and working when the screen is blank? Or is the phone actually powering off? If it's powering off on its own, the battery might have failed.
