Problem with Picasa, Newbie here

I have searched the forums and have not found an answer. This is probably something simple I just have not figured out yet, but I just got my EVO yesterday.

When I go into the gallery and choose to share a photo via Picasa, I then select the photo, hit next, and it immediatly jumps to "add a google account". Says that "You can use more than one google account on your phone (such as your home and work accounts). Adding a Google account takes just a few steps"


I hit next and input my google account info, and it tells me "Account already exists on this phone."

What am I doing wrong? I do have this account on the phone already, but it is not giving me the option to upload it to this accounts Picasa. Everytime it asks me to add another account.

Any help would be appreciated, as I am driving myself crazy here.

Have you tried a reboot? I vaguely remember this problem but haven't encountered it in a while.

Yes, I have tried rebooting. The only way i can get it to work, is if I do the following:
*choose Picasa as the way to share
*choose the pics to upload
*As SOON as I hit next it goes back to the add a google account screen, I see a quick flash of the screen where I would normally put in info on the pics to upload
*Hit next to the "create or sign in" screen
*Hit menu, at that point i can sign in using "browser sign in". It is arduous and a pain in the rear and is too much of a hassle to make it worthwhile to use each time. It does NOT hold my settings over to the next time I try to upload.

Any ideas? This is extremely frustrating!

Maybe try going into settings and clearing the cache for the gallery. Or use the picasa app. I forget what it's called. It's not official but works great.

I actually use the cooliris gallery that comes with stock android, I just prefer it more. This has great picasa integration as well.

Yo can install it with this apk: 3D Gallery.apk PLEASE!! - xda-developers

It will peacefully co-exist with the htc gallery as well.
