Problem with power button

I just bought a new G2X, but it does not come with a warranty. Everything seems to work great, except that I have to press the power button very hard, on one side, to turn on the phone, or wake up the screen. I wanted to ask if anyone had any ideas what this might be and it's something I should expect to get worse? Is it difficult to replace the power button? I've seen spares for sale.
