Problem with recent apps button

I have a minor problem with my S5 that has only recently surfaced. Not always but on many times now when I press the recent apps button, all the apps flash briefly in their card stacks, then the phone goes to home screen. I have to press the recent apps button a second time and only then do all the recent apps show permanently.

This as I say is only new. Does anyone have any idea what is causing this?

Try booting into Safe Mode, which temporarily disables all 3rd party apps. https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-10696


If the problem disappears in Safe Mode, then something you installed is causing the problem. You may have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem disappears. If the problem persists in Safe Mode, then it's more likely to be a hardware or firmware problem.
