Problem with Swype beta

I received the invite a couple of weeks ago and downloaded it to give it a try. Everything was working great for about a week and then I noticed it wouldn't swype. Every time I tried a blue outline around the keyboard would light up. I then reinstalled the app when a new version came out that used less space but I still have the problem. It appears that when ever I turn off my phone then turn it on again it stops working. The only way to get it back is to change the imput method to another keyboard then back to swype and it works fine.
Any solutions to this problem?

Blue line is normal for unrecognized words. Slow down and be concise. Then work from there.

I shut my phone off every night before bed. No need for it to be on.
As for the blue line for unrecognized words, it won't even try to swype so I know thats not the problem.

Before typing, long press the input field, select input type, and switch to the stock keyboard. Then do the same thing again and switch back to swype. That might solve your problem (this happens to me fairly frequently as well, and this fixes it 100% of the time).

If you mean am I using the swype keyboard while the phone is charging the answer is no. But as others have stated it seems to be a known bug with swype so I guess I will just have to keep switching the input method back and forth when I first turn on my phone to use it.

Yeah. Keep in mind that Swype is beta software, so there are some bugs in it. Hopefully this will be fixed in future beta releases.

I have the same problem with the Swype beta... I have been using Shapewriter and it has never done anything but work flawlessly.

Same problem here. Also sometimes the keyboard looks on cap's by it's self...

I'd give shapewriter a shot. It's smart enough that you don't need to "circle" double letters. I've never EVER had problems with shapewriter on my dinc.
