Problem with USB

I seem to be having an issue with my pc not seeing my phone through my usb. When I hook it up it charges but when I go to " my computer " I can't see my phone. Also kies will not see it so therefore I can't get the update. Any help would be awesome.

I seconded with this problem. I'm not able to go into USB mode, so I'm stuck.

The one question I do have for you is did you have any problems with the original sync cord? For my case, I tripped on that cord when the S2 was hooked up to my laptop and the connection has not been the same since. I checked the drivers and software and still nothing.
