Problems after software update

My HTC Incredible 2 alerted me there was a software update (HTC_ADR6350_3.02.605.1) a couple of days ago and ever since, I've had problems.

It will occasionally just put icons on top of others, cut icons off, the descriptions below the icons will disappear, and the menu bar at the bottom of the screen (along the short side of the phone) will move to the right side of the screen. When I touch the menu touch button, it will take me to the menu but all the icons are jammed 5 across (normally supposed to be 4 across). I can power down and restart and that fixes it but only until it does it again. I can't seem to figure out what triggers it and I don't know how to fix it.

Any suggestions? I'm not terribly tech savvy so small words with explicit instructions would be good. :D

When I was unrooted I took the software update and had a lot of issues. I had to factory reset under sdcard and storage menu. Make sure your contacts are backed up to your gmail before u do this. It is common with android that after an ota update one will have to factory reset. A lot of us here have had to do that.

Hopefully someday this won't have to be done to take care of issues. I had problems with an application on my Incredible and the reset also took care of that problem. So, resets are the answer for some issues.
