Problems transferring apps from Pixel 4 to 5

Hi, I've just bought a Pixel 5 and I'm struggling to transfer my non-google apps from my Pixel 4. I failed the first time, did a factory reset on it and then tried again with a cable connection, but still no joy?
Any suggestions.
