Problems with Contacts and general performance after latest Android update

Since the latest update, I frequently get the pop-up: Unfortunately, Contacts as stopped. Sometimes it is many times a day. I have to hit the OK button to get rid of that good news. I've tried clearing the cache, numerous times, and it doesn't help. Also, all of the phone operates more slowly. Accessing Facebook or Google, for instance, used to be instantaneous. Now there's a definite lag.

You will probably want to do a factory reset to fix all the issues. The updates that have been rolling out have been causing a lot of issues. Most if not all issues are fixed when the user does a factory reset.
