Fairly new to Nexus 4 and I'm having problems with Google Search / Google Now.

If I ask "Will it rain tonight" I get a spoken answer. The weather information is usually accurate BUT I live in a WV (Wolverhampton UK) postcode. The spoken answer will say something like "No, there is no chance of rain in West Virginia 8 tonight".

How can that be fixed?

Also, if I ask, for example, "Where is the nearest Greek restaurant to my location" it tells me the nearest is in Tucson, Arizona.

Are these general faults?

Someone else can probably be more help but since nobody has responded I will try.

In settings make sure you allow your Nexus to know where you are.
Settings/under personal location access. make sure to turn on access to my location and check on the 2 boxes below for GPS and Wifi network location.

If that doesn't solve the problem let us know.

When you set up the phone did you chose US or UK english? Are your temps recorded in C or F? Is the time a 12 or 24 hour clock? Did you buy the phone from google play UK or elsewhere ie: another country or bought used with the origin ofthe phone not being the UK

Tap "on the microphone".

Bottom-right of your screen you should then see three "vertical lines" - tap on that. (do this fairly quickly otherwise it will disappear and you will have to start again!)

Another box will appear - tap-on "settings" and then tap-on "voice" and then on "language".

If you tap-on "English" you can then choose the "accent" you desire on your Nexus 4.
