problems with music player

here's the deal. with froyo 3.29 version i had all my music folders listed with names.

with this latest 3.7 update the only names i have now are my cds that are copied. all my downloaded music are unknown. (folders and tracks). where as i had names for everything before.

i installed poweramp and winamp. i'm guessing that no matter what program i use. it's just going to say the same thing that the stock music player shows.

so i'd like to somehow get my names back.

i also have this problem where some of my folders aren't listing the tracks in numerical order while others are.

i'd also like to play my music folders in order. not just one folder at a time. (much like a 12 disc cd changer).

i'm a mp3 virgin as i really don't listen to much music anymore. but i'm looking to set up my motorcycle with some tunes. so i'm learning this stuff with my evo.

i could live with what i had before. but now that i've got the 3.7 update. it's messed up everything.

is there a solution to my problem?

just saw this now.

There is a program called irepo for the pc. I used it in the past to retrieve info about songs, etc.
maybe it can help?

turns ouit when i did the update. for some reason it changed the extension of the songs from mp3 to wma. once the extension was changed back to mp3. problem solved.

that was most defenitely a lesson learned to back up my music from now. so i can just copy and paste rather then spending all day changing the extension.
