Problems with notifications

I have a few apps that should notify me, but they don't. For example, through Market app, does not let me know when updates are available. Same thing with a sports scores app. Anyone having similar issues? Maybe I turned something off accidentally. But I know background data is on.

Unfortunately, I don't know why that feature doesn't work, even when it has been checked. Once in awhile you might get a notification of update(s) availabe. I don't know how that happen though...

You would have to check the market for update(s) occasionally. •> Market - Menu - My apps.√

That's what I typically do. I wasn't sure if I was missing something. I guess I'll have to deal with it. Thanks.
