For some reason, my Nexus 7 is very finicky about accepting the PS3 controller. I've gotten it to work a few times, but most of the time when I plug in my OTG cable + mini-B cable and PS3 controller, nothing happens. When I push the home button, it just flashes rapidly forever and usually turns on my PS3. Even when I unplug the PS3, it does the same thing. On the rare occurrence that it works, the controller starts blinking moderately (as if it was charging, as opposed to the rapid flashing) and when I push the home button then, it usually connects and works with the Nexus tablet. But I don't understand why it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.
Because of this issue, I'm almost considering rooting my device so I can use the Sixaxis app instead. Any help with this issue would be much appreciated. I just don't know what I did differently the times it worked or if it's just random.
