Problems with s7 edge

I brought the s7 edge on contract in November from carphone. Recently am having a issue unlocking the phone everytime I try to unlock it the screen goes blank. I can eventually unlock it but as soon as I try unlocking it the screen goes blank. Any advice?

Hi,

If this was my situation I'd first try checking all relevant settings.

Then a Factory Reset but do be aware this would delete your information off the phone.

If you have a Samsung Service Location local they could take a look too. Or contact Samsung on their Uk page.

If you have a Samsung Experience Store which are currently owned by Carphone Warehouse until the 1/3/17 they'll take a look or go back to a Carphone Warehouse Store.

The phone has a 24 month manufacturers warranty but wouldn't cover issues resulting from a drop or water damage.

Welcome to Android Central! First, try a cache partition wipe, which won't erase any personal data: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-28028.

If that doesn't help, then see if it persists in Safe Mode: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-28008. If the problem disappears in Safe Mode, then something you installed is causing the problem. You may have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem disappears. If the problem persists in Safe Mode, then it's more likely to be a hardware or firmware problem.
