Problems With Tempered Glass Screen Protector?

I've had my Note for a couple of days now and love it. I put a tempered glass screen protector on it right away and have been having issues with the screen. When I wake the phone the screen is, at times, unresponsive. Not all the time but I would guess that it's 50% of the times that I wake the phone. Like I said, I didn't use it without the protector on the phone and I really don't want to take it off without a replacement. I am currently using the stock launcher and acdisplay, I've tried disabling acdisplay and it did nothing. The other factor is that the protector itself didn't install correctly, the edges are off the screen just a bit, could that cause issues?

Sorry if my post seems all over the place, I just didn't want to miss anything.

Below is a picture of what I mean by the edges of the screen protector being seperated from the display.

Be careful on Note 5 screen protectors. There are two issues I have found:
  • If the tempered glass is greater than 0.3 mm thick it can make your screen unresponsive at times.
  • Some glass screen protectors said "Note 5" but I suspect were just relabeled and from another device. I ran into this with Tech Armor - very poor fit. Kind of like yours with the wide edge gap. Bought an EnGive and have had no issues at all.

It may not be your device. It could be the protector itself.

What you are describing and illustrating is what is commonly called "halo effect" because the phone glass is curved at the edges and the screen protector is not sized for the flat face of the phone only. If you search the threads for screen protectors and halo here you will find suggestions of brands of glass screen protectors that are properly sized for your phone.
I have used glass screen protectors on my Notes 3, 4, and 5 from 3.0 to 3.3 mm thick and have not had any repsonse issues on any of my Notes all running the stock TouchWiz. So I can't help you there.

Well I pulled the screen protector off and it hasn't made a difference, still having the same issue. Might have to take this one up with Samsung.

I would try to clear cache in the bootloader. If that doesn't work try a factory data reset and don't install any apps
