Problems with Web access across devices

Hi all
Firstly, sorry if this has been asked before, I couldn't find anything
I have a Tab S2 9.7 running 5.0.2
I also have a Note 3 running 5.0
I use both devices on the same WiFi network, I have looked at account settings to ensure they are the same
The problem is that when I'm on Facebook the Tab won't open certain websites that the Note will
Is this an Android version issue or am I missing something really simple?
If I go to the "full" website I can open the same page

A site that won't open in "phone" mode just has no phone page, so nothing opens. It's a problem with the site, not the phone. (Some browsers revert to a different mode if they don't get any response, some don't.)

Don't depend on Facebook to be a well-written site - it's a great example of how NOT to writ a site (or write an app - their app isn't too great either).
