Probn problem with new messaging features

I keep getting a pop up saying tap here to register for new messaging features. So I click on it and then I hit start once I hit start it tells me a text will be sent with a verification code to register. The code never comes then I get a message saying registration failed. Please help lol because I still haven't been able to get the new messaging features.
