process com.htc.android.omadm.service stopped?

I keep getting a message saying "Sorry! The application HTC DM (process com.htc.android.omadm.service) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again" everytime my phone boots ups. How can I fix this? I am also having a problem updating my phone OTA it just continuously says "checking" see that problem here http://forum.androidcentral.com/htc-evo-4g/27508-still-no-froyo-ota-update-my-evo.html#post332052 Thanks!
