profanity filtering?

So the other day i was texting a girl from back in high school and i said "don't act like a ****" and it came up on the screen "dont act like a b***" and so i didnt understand why it was so i thought my settings were all messed up and nope they are all unchecked.. Soooo being the kinda guy i am i opened up at blank text to my older brother and started swearing like a sailor haha and it all came up with f*** a** b**** and so on... this has never happened before and i'm wondering if someone would please explain whats going on with my phone. It is also blocking profanity on my brothers phone.

So, you're wanting to see the profanity and it's not showing it OR you don't want to see the profanity and it is showing it?

You'll have to forgive me. My caffeine IV hasn't taken affect yet.

are you using a aftermarket keyboard? If the block offensive words is off it should show them. I cant see why it would still be blocking them. I use swiftkey and have no issues.

seeing the profanity would be fine. i'm wondering why all the sudden it has started putting the **** over cuss words.
