I just had to swap out my Nexus and as I set up the account on it, it downloaded profile pics off google+. I cant find a way to remove them from the phone even though I do not have it set to sync photos. Anyone know a way that I can get them to go away? I dont need nor want them there. Thanks

The photo is probably attached to Google+. If you have it set to sync Google+, thats where its probably coming from.

The photos are attached to Google+ but its not set to sync to it. I turned that off. Maybe it did prior to me getting in there to turn it off after setting up the account. With that being said is there a way for them not to be on the phone if that is what happened?

Had the same problem even though I turned off do not sync photos with Google + Its a combo of Picasa and Google +. You need to sign into Picasa to delete them. Here's how:

Cancel account

You can't delete your Google Account for Picasa Web Albums without deleting your entire Google Account, and therefore losing access to your other Google products like Gmail or Calendar. However, you can remove all of the content in your Google Account for Picasa Web Albums by deleting all of your albums:

1. Sign in to Picasa Web Albums at http://picasaweb.google.com using your Google Account username and password.
2. Select the album you'd like to delete.
3. From the Actions menu above your photos, select Delete album.
4. Click OK to confirm that you want to delete the album.
5. Repeat these steps for each album in your account that you wish to delete.

Woot got it. You have to dump data from the gallery app. Now those others are gone.

Also go into... Accounts and Sync from your phones settings... go to the Gmail account and turn off Sync Google Photos.

The sync was already turned off. I think it was just on when I originally set up the account. Of course any other time ive set one up it didnt download them but hey its all good now lol
