Proximity sensor problems

I just bought a new v10 a couple days ago and I like it alot. However, I am not sure if mine has an issue with the proximity sensor. My previous Droid turbo would keep the screen on while I was looking at it. My v10 screen always turns off when it reaches the timeout, even when I'm actively looking at it. I can't find anything in settings, does the v10 not have this feature or is there an with my unit.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The V10 does not have that feature. My old G3 had it (the icon was an eyeball) and knew when you were looking at the screen to prevent dimming. That's entirely different from the proximity sensor, which turns the screen off when you hold the phone to your ear or turns the screen on when you pull it away.
