Proxy server?

I decided to do a factory reset last night and boy was lollipop smooth after that...until Facebook stopped updating and the browser told me there was no connection to the proxy server. After much research I did another tortuous reset and so far it's working.

I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if so, how you fixed it. I really am afraid its just going to happen again.

Also, do I need the Sprint data optimizer? I disabled it last night, I'm wondering if that could cause these issues? I really hate it, it's already taken up 28% of my battery.

I'm not having battery issues but I get that stupid proxy error message too since updating to Lollipop. I am sorry your post has been ignored-I am sure we are not the only ones and this is a bad bug. My guess is that Lollipop and that stupid connection optimizer aren't playing nice together.

It's somewhat better now that things have settled in. I haven't gotten the proxy server error message again since turning the data optimizer back on. My husband and son never did the factory reset, and so far they have no problem leaving it disabled. (which sort of makes me think that without the reset one isn't going to get the full effect of lollipop, so to speak)
