If you purchase your Nexus 6 from the Google Play store and expect your month to month line to get credited for the $25 month to month credit, think again. Verizon says they will not give you the month to month credit on a line that does not have a Verizon-branded phone.

Bye bye, Verizon.

I get my credit ,,
But I have yo call in to get it

I've talked to an online rep, and also called it in, and both have told me it's a no-go. Maybe I need to talk to a supervisor? I told both that this will make me switch to AT&T, and neither of them cared. I'm month-to-month, so I can easily switch, and they just said, "sorry, I can't do anything about it."

Yeah, a more everything family plan.

You have to get to the right person try the tech department I've been getting it every month since December the first month was a little tricky but after that I just called and they read the notes and I get it easily

You have to call every month?

Yes the system doesn't know its an LTE smart phone ,so they have to apply it manually.
That's hilarious. That's what they told me, too "we don't know whether it's an LTE smart phone." Do you see it using minutes? Do you see it using data? Guess what? IT'S AN LTE SMARTPHONE. :grumble:

Would it work to find another Verizon LTE phone to use temporarily? A family member's or friend's? Or a cheap one from eBay? I know it's a workaround that shouldn't even have to exist, but I would think it would work.

I started using my Nexus 6 from Motorola by cutting my micro SIM from my S5. Later I wanted to get a real nano SIM. Verizon could not exchange SIMs because I had a non-Verizon device. Fortunately I happened to have a Verizon Moto X (2014) as well, so I put my cut micro SIM in that, exchanged the SIM for a nano SIM, and then inserted the new nano SIM in my Nexus 6. Boom, good to go!

Thanks again for reminding me why Verizon is still the only carrier that has never got a penny from me due to how they threat their customers. This is why I don't do contracts and buy my own phones since I can fire my service provider any day that they think they don't need to treat me fair. Thank you John Legere for making the Un-Carrier.
