Public WiFi Terms and Conditions?

I love to camp and the State Parks in Louisiana have free WiFi. The problem is I can see the network on my Xoom, I can complete the connection, but I can never get the page to come up to accept the terms and conditions so the network will give the cookie to allow usage of the network. It is very frustrating when the wife is giggly because her @&?M-pad works and my Xoom won't. I have searched for two days now trying to find a fix and I cannot. Does anyone have a suggestion? This was with Honeycomb 3.0. I got the update to 3.1 when I got home from camping.

Thanks,

I had this issue before at a couple hotels, try using another browser (Opera or Dolphin). At least that worked for me. Let us know how it works!

jlboom,

if the Xoom is not detect the WIFI portal it doesn't matter why type of browser is installed. No "detect" no access.

Specularius,

you may have a defective Xoom. I would definitely get it looked at while its still under warranty. If the iPad is detecting this WIFI portal, there is no reason why your Xoom shouldn't

Specularius, he clearly said it detects the network and even negotiates the connection and connects (aka receives an IP address). The problem is that when he opens the browser, he's not getting the little pop-up that asks him to accept the terms of use agreement. I agree with Jlboom. Try another browser. I keep Opera Mini and Dolphin HD installed. Some pages won't work with certain browsers, but I have yet to find a site that won't work with at least one of the three. I had the same issue last week at a hotel.

I'd be willing to bet that you need to set your browser UAstring to 'Desktop' to see the wifi credentials page. The network service may or may not allow mobile Android devices to connect. Just a thought. It's easy enough to do in the stock browser using the about:debug command, or you can set it permanently in Dolphin HD, which I like anyway.
