Pulled the trigger

Ok...pulled the trigger on the gray one from B&H. Hopefully I won't regret it. Seems to be great phone from my research. Root also seems to be on the horizon so I may put a custom ROM at sometime.

This is replacing two phones, an LG G4 that has been flawless and a Note 4 that has a bad camera module.

The screen on the G4 is not as nice as the Note 4 so I really hate using it but the Note 4 won't take a decent picture as well as it has issues with blue tooth popping when I listen to music so I'm hoping the Axon takes care of all those issues.

I should add that the camera in the G4 is the best cell phone camera I've ever used. I hope the Axon comes close...at least on paper it should.

It not even a hard decision to make mate. To me it a no brainer. If this phone does support Cyanogen mod, the volume speaker on this phone will be even louder!

Ok, after the "big news" of the Pixel today, how many are happy they saved a bunch of money and went with the Axon 7? I am for sure...ecstatic would be more like it.

I have still had zero issues with this phone. No random reboots, no freezing, no lag that I can see. Overall a flawless phone for my purposes.

Good to hear. I just ordered mine from Newegg. As with any phone purchase I make, I'm always a little hesitant in pulling the trigger but based on what I've seen and heard, I think I'll be fine.

Worst case I can return it within 30 days and get a full refund. I want to like the Pixel XL but can't get over the pricing!

I gave thought to the Pixel XL, but went with the A7 as soon as they announced pricing. I'd been eyeing the gray version on B&H and pulled the trigger right away. I've had the phone for about a week and couldn't be happier. No regrets!

I might still get a Pixel XL, but I'm not giving up my Axon 7. I've had mine since close to launch day and really like it.

Just cancelled my pixel xl since I snagged an axon off jet for 375, almost 1/3rd the price for more bells and whistles without a 40 day delivery eta. As long as the signal issues aren't as bad as forums make them seem then I'll be stoked.

The pixel seems like a bunch of hyped software in a bloated chassis, most which will probably trickle over to the affordable competitor once the dev community picks up.

After looking online for a while though it looks like I could get the 6gb of ram Chinese elite model with force touch for an extra 40$... anyone recommend or have a horror story with those? Looks like it would work fine on T-Mobile...

Can this A7 be used on any carrier? Im on fi. I think I can, but it'll just stick with T-mobile.

I just ordered by Quartz Gray from NewEgg on eBay. Also nervous but excited about the phone from the reviews I have read and videos I have watched.

Went from a Note7 (didn't kaboom) to a Note4, to the Axom 7. Really like the features, not concerned about the lack of onscreen buttons (since I have mistakenly hit the buttons on many occasions). Really like the warranty.

The software has some to work to get it where it needs to be, but I think I can deal with it in the mean-time.

Have you tried installing a custom launcher ?
