Is it normal for a battery pull to discharge the battery about 25%? I had to pull my battery and I was at about 80% and when I put it back in and turned on my phone it was at about 55%. Other times I've noticed the same amount of change happen after a battery pull.

That can't possibly be normal. Maybe there is problem with the indicator or even the battery

I have tthought about that because at first it shows its lost more than 30% then eventually goes up to what the percentage actually is. And yes custom ROM, MiRaGe's latest.

IV had this probably before I think it was my battery because my new battery doesn't do this

Try a fresh download and Install of the latest MiRaGe.
Don't install a battery saver app, just turn everything off including the activate app. Install Periodic Auto Sync. Set to every 4 hours for 1 minute.
Turn things on when needed, off when not.

The kernel is part of the ROM. So it would be a ROM issue.
Probably a corruption in the ROM causing the kernel panic, hence my suggestion.
