Pulse Notification Light

At the bottom of the screen, a led blinks on and off, every 10-15 seconds or so, when the N4 device is idle. Sometimes it is working, and sometimes not. What is this light for, and what determines when it functions? Note, it IS checked as On in display settings. Thanks :-/

You've answered your own question in thread subject. It's a notification light. So it blinks when your device receives notifications.

It's possible to customize how this light works with apps like Lightflow or if you flash certain custom ROMs like CM.

Use Light Manager. Custom colors and flash rates. It's also easy on the battery.
