This is from ebay's latest sales data. As you can see, price is coming down real well after Christmas.

In light of VZWs awful customer perspectives, I wonder if I should just purchase one and be done with it? Month-month seems awfully attractive when dealing with a company full of lawyers and collections agents. Quick math:

My bill for one phone is around $110/mo total. Locked in legally for 24 months is ~$2,600.00. Plus any fees they decide to add on during that span.

If I purchase the phone, I can keep it for say 6 months until the quads and 4.0's really get some traction, then just buy another one.

Apols in advance, I know this has been discussed in-nauseam, but I'm so impressed with the little Rezound I thought I'd bring it up on this particular forum

Thanks!

I bought mine at full price knowing that the Rezound would be the best for months. My upgrade is in April 2012. I spend $250 per month on my family plan and the $650 I dropped on the phone was well worth it. The next device I purchase will have to blow the Rezound away; and that will be tough.

If you are buying it used, officially, the phone is only warrantied for the original purchaser, so buying a used phone officially has no warranty (or put it this way, they are not legally obliged to warranty it for second or subsequent owners). Of course, you can still return it within whatever the return period is on eBay's auction.

+1!

Can't you buy a third party warranty for your used phone?

I think that the path you're on is good. With CES coming up soon and like you mentioned those Quad 4's showing their teeth, you really can't beat the Rezound for the time you have allotted for yourself. The phone won't disappoint and that arms length shouldn't be a painful stretch.
