purchase note 8 in us to use in canada

If I purchase in us at best buy unlocked or Samsung us unlocked, can the phone be used in canada with a Telus SIM card? How would the warranty work? If the note had problems in 2 or 3 years, can I get repair done in canada at my expense or would I have to go to Samsung us for repairs at my expense?

Yes you can buy it unlocked in the US. But you need to make sure you get the right phone. If it will work on the AT&T network then it will work on the Telus network. Warranty will be covered by Samsung. If it's under warranty you will need to send it to them for the repairs. Or you can have the repairs done at your own expense. Whatever you choose.
