Purchasing from BestBuy with NE2 available...

The title is misleading, but I do have a NE2 discount available and am thinking about purchasing this device through best buy for the full $299 upgrade price. If I do this, will my account keep the NE2 upgrade since I never used it?

I'm not sure... I think the point of the NE2 was to pursuade people to upgrade at corporate stores since they don't have to pay the retailers for the activation.

So you may end up losing it.

I assume you are talking about the 30-50 dollar discount? I believe I read somewhere these discounts expire either 4 or 6 months after your original 2 year contract would expire, so if you did get to keep it you'd only have maybe 10 months to use it. I don't know for sure if that's how it would work, but probably the best case scenario. I have a feeling you would lose it completely though.

edit: 10 months if you are just now eligible like I am as of the Dec. 5th. Shorter time frame if you have been eligible longer obviously.

I guess I'll call Verizon & dodge the sales pitch to see what they say about it.
