push email slow / sometimes not at all

I have noticed over the last few days that the push email (that has been working fine for months) seems to be very slow. Ican see email arrive on my computer and on my Samsung Tab, and then 1/2 - 1 hour later it shows up on my Droid 2 Global. I also noted that if I power the phone down, the email appears to download just before the screen goes off. When I turn the phone back on, the email is in my inbox. I don't remember this being an issue before the OTA update.

Any ideas?

Had a similiar problem with non-push pop3 last week. I wasnt getting any from one account. Deleted the account on the phone and recreated and it went away. This was not a gmail account. Best guess was the email site changed a protocal and it did not pass to my phone. That is why I did the delete and recreate forcing the phone to update the settings and protocals.
