push email working slowly / not at all

I have noticed over the last few days that the push email (that has been working fine for months) seems to be very slow. Ican see email arrive on my computer and on my Samsung Tab, and then 1/2 - 1 hour later it shows up on my Droid 2 Global. I also noted that if I power the phone down, the email appears to download just before the screen goes off. When I turn the phone back on, the email is in my inbox. I don't remember this being an issue before the OTA update.

Any ideas?

Those unknown issues... don't you just hate it.

(You would have to trouble-shoot the phone, and hope that the problem doesn't persist.)

Here is a few helping tips:
(1)Uninstall and reinstall email(s) in question.
(2)Clear data and cache in the email app(menu > settings > applications > manage application > running.
(3)Reboot the device.

Might also try checking the battery save settings. They might have changed after the update and your phone is turning off sync during certain times.

Always provide the type(s) of email account and email app(s) you're using in threads like this. "Push email" is too vague as there are different types of email accounts that can be pushed.

This is an Exchange account that is linked to our Corporate Exchange Server.
