Put SD card in Samsung Galaxy S5 from Droid RAZR and cannot get photos

Device recognizes I have SD card but doesn't show I have photos. Afraid to format card as it says I'll lose photos...what to do?

Can you plug the card back in the RAZR and move the photos to your computer? Then you can put the card in the S5 and format the card and move the photos back to the card via the S5.
