[Q]About My HTC Glacier`s Screen lost respond

I`ve got my HTC in about 2 years ago and it works well for a month or later, while after a while one slim area (left side)of my phone screen lost respond, i.e. whenever i swipe or roll my fingers towards that section, the phone didn`t react, is this because i`m buying the emulational cell phone or something else happened ? Did anyone encountered the same issue as mine? Can`t quite tell what`s going on here, please help!
