Q: How loud is max headphone volume?

I've had a lot of issues from newer phones having some pretty bad max volume levels. I only need it when the phone is plugged into the AUX port of my car, but the only phone that's ever had a decent max volume was the HTC One. So far, my Note 2's and Xperia Z's max output is completely useless. I just want to know how it is on the Droid MAXX before I drop $650 on it.

I get a new phone every year for work and I think this is one of the loudest I've had thru headphones. Sound is very good also. FYI I turned off the phones built in audio effects.
