Hi guys. Sorry if this has been covered already, I'm sure that others may have had this problem too.

The issue I am facing is with my Samsung Galaxy S3. I am running on 4.0.4 which I rooted with Heimdall Frontend 1.3 on my Mac.
I am a novice with the whole rooting thing so I am a bit confused. I am at the moment living in Australia, my mobile is an unbranded phone which I bought on contract in the UK on Vodafone and am now using it here on Optus mobile.

I had a firmware update sent through tonight which I downloaded over the air, the download completed and so I proceeded to update. The update failed after only a few seconds directing me to the rooted firmware bios.

So where do I go from here? I would like Jelly Bean on my mobile but I seem to not be able to get it because of the root I guess. I've tried unrooting with the SU unroot option but that failed so what should I do now?

Sorry if I'm a pain in the ass

Well, I would suggest first downloading your original 4.0.4 from sammobile (like, for your PDA and CSC), wiping the phone and flashing that onto it. This should put the phone in its factory state. From there, you could either update normally or download Jelly Bean and flash that as well. Once you're running Jelly Bean, you can root again if you wish.
