QPST Freezes Computer When OV Is Rebooted

When I have QPST running, I got it to show the port. But it says "No Phone". I tried doing that technique of rebooting the phone. As soon as the phone starts rebooting, my computer freezes and I have to press the reset button on my computer. What is going on? What am I missing?

Yep. I had that too when I restored my phone after the radio update. If you watch carefully you can unplug it before it resets.
