does anyone have the stock qpst settings for the lg optimus v. my phone crashed to the point of no return i was able to get the sprint rom on it now it thinks its a optimus s since thats the only recovery i can get without rooting the phone. now i dont have 3g i just need the settings i looked online i get a bunch of stuff for other countries thanks.

well lets start from the begging.

day 1 i root the phone great removed what i thought was decent bloatware. market crashed couldnt install. read a forum factory reset phone. done now i have now no root or a effective way to adb. no file manager to install programs. root was on the phone but it was not working 100%

day 2. i had 3 g but no way to install programs which i should have grabbed the qpst at this point. but i didnt think i needed it wish i grabbed it but i didnt. now i was able to http://forum.androidcentral.com/lg-...brick-method-some-forms-brick.html#post602790 do a unbrick move now i have a sprint phone without 3g i was able to see it for a second or two after grabbing these settings
Virgin Mobile USA working data/mms/3g settings discovery thread [Archive] - CDMA Gurus

was not 100% on the settings though i am kinda hoping i can get some help

i may need a nv file which i am scared of touching and pushing that through cdma work shop..

i cannot get a successful root to put a custom rom back in and i am stuck

if there is a way to get it back using anycut and using the apn there i would but i dont think that will help since im not getting the 3g.. i have tried switching prls. still no 3g its the settings on the phone ahh

i need to find something i cannot find anything i been googling intercept settings all day since they had flashed sprint rom to the phone and got that working.

##virigin## on the phone nothing

Since you put an S rom on it, you are kind of stuck.
My advice, root it, then put the stock Virgin rom back on. After that, there are ways to get it back to almost out of the box.

Why?
Because you need the activate button to fix your 3g.

It's either that, or buy another.
Virgin will not help you now that you flashed an S rom, and you can't return it after what you did.

Roooting has a bad image (probably due to jailbroken Iphones), but really, it can save your butt. This is one of those times.
Besides, at this point, what do you have to lose.

I had a similar problem once. Do you still have the virgin activation app?
He has a Sprint Rom, so no, he doesn't.

i got 3g back updating the ppconfig on a virgin intercept

** side question: connectbot and rageagainstthecage.bin failed getting root also?
----------------
The nv items 1192 and 1194 - you can save these to a file before uploading something new in CDMAworkshop -
You need the AA_Password settings for the hdata settings - if you have bettercut you might be able to create a shortcut to something like Data hdata - you'll need the MSL which I assume you have since you can use QPST

----- here are the settings (w/ fake meid and real 10-char passwd) I used on my virgin intercept

re: virgin's return service

if you bought this at the store (target, radio shack) your phone is covered for 1 year - call them and say it won't turn back on
they should, no questions asked, send you a new one - that has been my experience

I sent back 3 intercepts after 2 failed flash attempts - the first was my fault - flashed an M900 tar (samsung moment) instead of a M910 tar (samsung intercept).

ya i am thinking about returning it back to radioshack i have had it less than 30 days but if i return it im going to make sure it wont boot past the lg screen and play dumb the guy there is really nosy and i maybe better off calling virgin up with the same situation im going to try these steps in a few days im burnt out with it right now

M.IP & PPP

Thanks for the info. I have the intercept. Voice and SMS works.

Need to fix data.

Could it be possible to have the rest of settings in M.IP and PPP

Mine tries to connect and fails, i think I messed something up.

I have my AAA thank goodness.

Screenshots would be nice :).

Thanks again

PPP?

Double checked my M.IP and i didn't enable the 3rd profile :)
Thank you for the M.IP settings.

now i get 3G,but it will fail after a while.

Wondering if it is the PPP settings now.

Thanks again claudia1969

This is not a moral or ethical solution...

This is not a moral or ethical solution...

if you compare it to the morals/ethics of radio shack, a company which runs credit checks for minimum-wage jobs, they aren't hurting.
besides, they just mail the phone off for factory refurb, and the hardware is not damaged.

That is all irrelevant.

Warranty fraud is a crime; running credit checks on potential employees is not.

Slightly off topic for the thread, but I have to respond:
The phone is non-functional when brought in to the store. Warranty replacement is for non-functional device. Warranty does not specify that device must be rendered non-functional by act-of-god, etc, just that device is in good physical condition and not working when returned. The phone is intact and the hardware is perfectly functional.
Now, returning a hollowed-out shell of a phone under warranty would be wrong, but something that LG just has to plug into a cable and use their proprietary software to re-flash is only costing postage+a few minutes of tech time for radio shack and LG.
Credit reporting agencies SHOULD be illegal, since they make money from selling private citizen's data to other corporations without the explicit permission of said citizens. And, you can't stop them from selling your data, even if you try.
Not that it matters... I'm just feeling argumentative.

Really?

No it is fraud, if you read the TOS and the the rules and restrictions of what is and isnt covered you would see anything YOU do to the phone and then try to claim is/was not YOUR fault is fraud and technically illegal.

I do agree with you on credit reporting agencies because they arent regulated. And not hiring somebody because of bad credit is ******ed. From a employers standpoint tho somebody with bad credit is prolly gonna get phone calls and or have general problems coming to work.

Don't come in to this forum, and ask us for help if you intend on defrauding any business by asking for a warranty replacement for your own missteps.

We are happy to help you fix your phone, but we will not be a party to any type of fraud.

And for those that think this doesn't hurt anyone, you do realize each bogus return adds to future price increases which hurt us all.
