QR Generator on your phone

I was recently curious if there was a way to generate QR codes for a url on the phone itself. After some investigating, i found that Barcode Scanner can generate QR codes. I never thought of hitting menu in the app. If anyone is curious:

In Barcode Scanner:
1.) Open
2.) Hit menu
3.) hit Share
4.) Here you have the option to generate a QR code based on Contacts, Bookmarks, your Clipboard, or an Application.
5.) Choose whichever you want to generate
6.) Hit menu to send via whatever way you want. Email, facebook, Handcent... etc.

Hope this helps.

(oops thought i was in the Applications sub forum, my apologies)

Ok, when I select contact, they come up numbered, not by name. How do I change it to read by names?

I love this app and the dev seems very responsive.

I knew about that ability but forgot about it as I had no need to do this, thanks for reminding me. The ixMAT scanner app also has this. The only bad thing is you have to generate a bookmark first. I also wish there were a way to have just one central set of bookmarks that all browsers could use.

The only real feature I wish the developer would add would be an easy way to turn the LED's on/off from the app so you can scan with them on. There is an option to "Use front light" (wouldn't that be back light?) but that does nothing on my Evo.
