Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 or Snapdragon 808?! (LG Nexus)

Definitely the Nexus over the Moto. I just love the Nexus line. Now which to get this year? That's my confusion lol. I have the Nexus 5 and love it so my mind is going more towards the LG. But bigger screen and battery on the other one which sounds great but I just don't know about this brand huawei.

I've had a Huawei MyTouch. Granted, it's not a phablet, but it was a solid phone, and the speaker was quite loud, which I liked. Their phablets actually get great reviews from real world users, especially since they put huge batteries in them. They also prefer 1080P screens over QHD, so they get awesome battery life. They have said QHD is useless on batteries.

they must've changed their opinion cause the Mate 8 is rumored to be 1440p ... I guess even they're drinking the "energy efficiency" kool aid!

I know, which I find funny, considering they managed to make a gigantic 6.8" phablet and fit it with a 1080P screen and huge battery in the P8 Max.

I had the same hesitation with Hauwei, but after spending some time looking into them, I'm pleasantly surprised at their efficient build quality. The only consistent knock seems to be on the software side, which would obviously be negated on a Nexus. I don't think Google would compromise their brand with an inferior product, and I fully expect a solid build for a reasonable price. We'll get a good look at what to expect on 9/2 when the Mate 8 will be announced at IFA.

Gotcha. Thanks for the info bro. I will definitely look out for more info on both to really see which I really want. I can't wait either way though. I NEED more info lol.

wow, that's hysterical!! I didn't know they even had a Max version. personally I'm fine with 1080p on every phone and tablet, but I realize they're in a difficult position with so many spec crazed people that judge a phone from the 3 bullet points next to the display.

I just watched MKBHD set up his OP2 on Periscope, SD 810 and all, including a Geekbench score and fingerprint set up. To quote him, the phone is "stupid fast", like when you first get a Nexus. Launching the camera side by side with the S6 Edge, the OP2 launched at the same time. This has me chomping at the bit for these upcoming Nexus phones.

Snapdragon 620 confirmed then?

http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2015...ook-at-its-gpu-and-how-much-the-chip-matters/

"As for the Adreno 510 that will ship with the Snapdragon 618 and 620, the company isn’t giving detailed or specific performance claims. It told us that these chips should generally also be 40 percent faster and 40 percent more power efficient than their predecessors, the Adreno 405 used in the Snapdragon 610 and 615."

So 40% more powerful than Adreno 405 is roughly in the ballpark of the higher-clocked variety of the Adreno 330 included within the Snapdragon 801.

Will the 620 chip be worth it and last a good few years or is it just worth waiting on an 820 chip phone?!

I can't imagine Google opting for an insufficient processor. I think in real world use its hardly noticeable, and it certainly won't stop me from buying one this year. and I plan on getting 36 months minimum out of it, barring some unforeseen must have new tech feature.

You just also have to remember that the bigger screen pretty much negates the bigger battery
