OK, here's the deal. AT&T doesn't exchange damaged phones through their device repair centers. You gotta go through their insurance claims system. You, of course, have to have the insurance to use it. The only deal it gives you is that you'll get a new phone, but you Will be paying another $199 for it. The only other recourse is to buy a new one at the unlocked price. This, of course, is not an option for most of us. The only good part is that the "deductible" goes on your bill. You don't have to pay for it up front like we did when we got it originally. The lesson from this? Get A Good Case When You Get The Phone. My damaged one is still working (I'm posting this from it) but it can't hack being dropped on the pavement. Going to check Seidio to see if the Convert is up yet. If not, I'll have to settle for the Active. Either way, I gotta get a case for my Vivid.
